"if you're gonna go vegan, you have to do it right. quit animal by animal, that's how i did it. i quit all cow products at the same time -- beef and dairy. you can still have goat milk at this point. quit goat a few days later. you get the point. the marine life is fun, you can still have almost anything for months if you quit animal by animal 'no more salmon,' you say. but you can still have tuna. and lobster. marine life is almost endless. actually, so's landlife. i suppose you're not really a vegetarian if you do it animal by animal unless you quit all of them, which could take years. 'today i stop eating poodle and tomorrow no more muskrat.' it could get very confusing. you'd have to divise a system, i guess, so you'd remember what you'd already quit. otherwise you'd un into all sorts of problems, you know. 'do you want these chocolate covered ants?' 'well, i'm not sure. i'm becoming a vegan animal by animal and i don't remember if i've already given up ants.' except you should know by that point that the chocolate would have milk in it, and you've already given up cows. unless your system is alphabetical, in which case you could still eat cow products if you hadn't given up ants yet. but then there's the issue of common name versus a more technical name. these issues are very real."
