[christmas christmas time is here]
Some time this evening my good mood plummeted and now I feel crappy. There are two main reasons for this.
I've been wanting a rat for ages, but amongst the people I've talked to, most have said two rats would be BETTER but one would be okay if I spent plenty of time with it. This was a huge relief, since my mom is terrified of rats and I've spent many months convincing my mom to even allow me to get one. But a post from Vay today prompted me to do more extensive research and almost everything says that two is the best. But I know my mom - if I don't get one now, while I have permission, it'll be revoked. I also know that, within time, she'll let me get another one. My stepdad is doing his best to convince her to let me get two, but worst case scenario, I'm going to get one for now and save up to get a larger cage for the second. My mom's biggest complaint when I talked to her about getting two was that my cage wouldn't be big enough, which is true. Since I start my job in two weeks, I can save up my OWN money to get the cage and the second rat. So, worst case scenario, rattie number one lives without a buddy for a few weeks, but I'm out of school for that time and I'll just overload it with attention. > <
The second reason is that we have a White Christmas. Now, this is GREAT. I love having a White Christmas! It excites me. I want to play in the snow tomorrow. But I want to have friends come over and play too and I want Hare to be one of them. I saw where he'd talked to a friend on a status about wanting to play in the snow tomorrow, asked her actually, but even though I'd posted a status about playing in the snow (before I saw that) he didn't comment on it once. - _- That depresses me far more than it really should. The girl in question is dating a guy who he's also really great friends with. He doesn't act the same way with me that he acts with them. It's just different and I don't really know that it's in a good or bad way. But I'm gonna go with bad. Because I'm a fucking pessimist tonight.
On the bright side I got a bunch of awesome stuff for Christmas.
+ Six movies (All three Lord of the Rings, Princess and the Frog, the new Alice in Wonderland, and Pocahontas on DvD)
+ A huge art kit, an easel, and five canvases.
