the forest is quiet except for the chirping of the tree frogs shimmers of the lightning bugs break up the dark walls.
i light some candles that have been left by other imaginations other than my own. the darkness slowly creeps to the outer circle of trees. there are plants here that have never been here before. spindley vines creep up one of the trees. i yearn to explore. i lean in to get a closer look and the suttle smell of licorice envelops my nose.
licorice vines....
pondering it i notice that there are several jars of lightning bugs hanging in the trees. the twinkling jars push the darkness further back. i lay down and gaze at the jars and the stars beyond.
the wispers of the wind blow the candles out and the lightning bug jars stay bright. a drop of water fall on my head...there are no clouds then i notice that the book is again at my feet.
the page it is opened to
"Rain flowers"
Rain flowers are found in the high branches of cinnamon trees and secrete a liquid that can only drip during a clear night when lightning bugs light them up. if a drip of this magic liquid touches your skin you should feel priveleged for it has strange properties which cannot be explained.
