A Diet of Ramen and Homegrown Peppers & Tomatoes

Okay.  So perhaps it's not as bad as all that.  Besides, I like to eat too much to live solely on Ramen and my home grown veggies.  At least I still have lots of venison in the freezer.  My budget is under serious attack.  I'm glad I set it up in a spreadsheet last month.  I'm a bit unsure about how I'm going to pay my (stupid) Engineering fee this month and buy my textbooks.  But it'll work out.

I'm a bit concerned about my car.  This is the third time in less than 9 months it's been in the shop, and I'm starting to think that this might be the time in my car's life where everything is going to need replacing.  (Did I mention I also need new brakes...but that's going to have to wait.  Scary.)  This may be the most serious yet.  Even worse than my car not shifting out of park (replaced solenoid and exhaust line in November) or having the wheel on the verge of falling off (fixed wheel bearing in June).

I know that if you smell gasoline, that's a bad sign.  But when I stopped at lights or to turn the past two days I smelled natural gas...methane.  That's odd and kind of scary to me.  And the engine randomly stalls.  And I couldn't accelerate over 50 mph.  Hopefully they'll figure out what's wrong with it and it won't be prohibitively expensive.  I wish insurance covered random break downs (like health insurance) and not just accidents.
