We actually got the ammonia in. While that should be good news, it really isn't because of the mess of the whole situation. Instead of getting two small ammonia cylinders (one for each lab) we now have one GIGANTIC ammonia cylinder. With a cart I can move the small ones. They aren't too heavy. This one requires two people in order to move it. And since there is only one cylinder, that means carting upstairs from the lab that's on the complete other side of the Engineering building.
I was going to do AFEX this afternoon, so in preparation, Ming was nice enough to help me move the cylinder. I had some samples to take beforehand, but I figured I'd get to it about an hour after I brought it up. Well, one of the undergrads got there first. Oh well. So I figured I'd just wait for him to finish (~3PM). By the time I got to the lab a little after 3PM, Leo was in the process of moving the cylinder downstairs to do experiments. All that trouble to get it upstairs and I never even got to use it. Hopefully they remember that I'm going to try to come in tomorrow (since I couldn't do anything today) and will remember to bring it upstairs for me...otherwise I'm out of luck 'til Monday because I can't move it by myself.
