So I finally, after 35 years, got a dress form!!
And I’m trying to make a pattern fit.
Hips & ass, gotta add more fabric. Again.
Seriously, I added 6 sizes, still not enough. And you’re like, “Oh! You’re a fat bitch is all.”
But no!
My Halloween vest fits exactly like a glove. Can’t button it on the dressform tho.

So, working the problem.
Anyway.
Went to the fabric store. Well hell, people stopped sewing & it SHOWS! No one’s watching the people in charge of patterns, are they? My god, the ridiculousness going on with Butterrick, Simplicity, Burda, & McCalls! I mean…come on, go touch grass. Ain’t no one can wear that or will wear it.
I almost bought a shirt pattern but realized it has a zipper up the back 🙄
And thought about some pants but they were over the top.
So got fabric for the vest. It was a struggle, the fabric is so poor quality & rough. Then I spent a full 30 minutes finding a button. So few options. I settled for a plain blue button.
Ugh. Such an ordeal!
