Charlie Weasley woke with a start. The sharp contrast of cold hands, cold feet, soft flesh...against his naturally warm body and weathered skin jolted him awake. He disentangled himself from the smooth, pale limbs and sat up, hanging his legs over the edge of the bed and running a calloused hand through his mop of red hair.
He stood and padded lightly across the room, turning only briefly at the bathroom door for a glimpse of her identity. Blonde. Blonde hair, milky skin, softened features; and for the life of him he couldn't remember her name. He never could. That's why he never let them stay; to avoid moments like this.
He concluded he must have passed out after taking part in whatever actions were conducted in his bed the previous night. That's what happens when you put in so many hours at a strenuous job...you get tired. Especially when you overexert yourself after said long day.
He shook his head and ran his coarse fingers through his hair again before stepping into the bathroom and closing the door with a soft click. He turned the knobs to the shower and stepped into the steaming spray, savoring the heat it provided. As his skin turned a faint pink, and his sore muscles relaxed, he pondered the possibilities of what would happen when she woke up. He wondered what he would say.

I couldn't sleep, so I finally wrote this. It's been in my head for awhile now. I just wasn't sure how to get it down on paper. I'm really impressed with how it came out.
And of course, I never did go to bed. Maybe I'll get back on a decent sleep schedule soon.
