A/N: This started out as a song I wrote with my boyfriend a long time ago and I editted to be the first poem of my semester. My boyfriend even came up with the new title which I love. This poem has gone through about five revisions so far and this is current draft.

your emotions go here _____

she holds back
empty tears.
won't leave herself
exposed.
but she can't hide,
can't hide. she runs
away, she runs.

and i'm fighting,
fighting back
the things i miss.
can't recall
if i was right. it was you,
always you.
loving you
meant being
wrong... i was.

she walks alone
down the road,
try, just tries
to move past, move
on. but she can't
hide, can't change
the stranger she's
become.

and i'm lying
on the floor
again. can't help
but wonder
why?
nothing ever seems
to change and i
can't ever be
the same.

i have nothing
left to give. nothing,
nothing, nothing left

trusted me.
a broken heart.
it comes too late
i know.
too late to learn
i'd give anything to
have you back.

i was wrong
and i was
wrong; i was
wrong, so wrong.
