Hallefreakinglujah, my internet is working again!

I moved into the dorms yesterday, into my nice tiny single room, and the internet abruptly stopped working for me after I rebooted my computer per my college's ridiculous internet registration thing. I was very distraught, as you can imagine, all by my lonesome with no contact with the outside world...besides, you know, having to leave my room. How horrid.

On the bright side, I get more writing done when there's no internet to distract me.

Went to Walmart earlier with some of my friends who are still suffering the slings and arrows of sorority life. I'm all stocked up on edibles and necessities, so I should be able to live fairly happily here.

The only downside is still sharing a bathroom, but whatever. I've dealt with that before, I'll do it again. So far, we don't have a curtain for the shower area...I've been putting my towel over the shower door to keep prying eyes out. It's worked, so I may just stick with that method. ...It's not that I'm shy, it's just that I don't need the world seeing how fat I really am. Clothing disguises it somewhat.

I actually finished a book last night! Archangel, by Sharon Shinn. It was fairly good...the ending was a little awkward, but not every story can be perfect, I suppose. Anyway, my progress bodes well for my goal to catch up on some reading this semester. One book down, about...19 to go, that I brought with me.

Going to have to make some room for more books, though, as I still have to buy my books for class. Ay ay ay. I have a feeling there are going to be quite a few of them. I know for sure I have five books for French class, the first three volumes of the Brit Lit anthology at least, probably at least six books for my lit criticism course, goodness knows how many for my seminar, probably two or three for Spanish, and probably one or two for my social science class. So, probably about twenty by the end of all that. I'm a masochist.

I'm tired. I may require a nap.
