Heh. I stopped buying xmas gifts a few years ago. I usually make solstice gifts if I do anything.

That's nice and good to hear. I always liked the idea of giving food and drink as gifts. My former boss would always get me tea, hot chocolate, cookies for Christmas. I liked that.

a tad bit silly, but not a terrible idea nonetheless.

Problem is a huge amount of people that celebrate x-mas aren't even christian, well that and given all the other stuff that goes along w/these holidays they are even purely a christian concept anyhow (like the X-mas tree??Uhhm, pagan much.;P).

Well that and my fave part of the holidays is giving gifts, but that is probaly solely for that fact that I do not give because I am *expected* to (in which case I could totally see it being annoyoing...since that goes agains the whole spirit and premise of gift giving in the first place).;)

Well Christmas isn't a purely Christian holiday.

It's good that you're not giving because you are expected to. I see so many people go into debt over Christmas gift giving. It's insane!

Yeah, the website is cute. There are some good ideas there though!

Yeah....going into debt just to impress people for any special occasion (read weddings as well!!!*schnicker*) is just downright sad and ridiculous.

I mean if you can't afford expensive gifts then people should be creative for crying out loud....like you're idea w/the edibles!!I don't think there is a soul out there that would be ungrateful to recieve x-mas goodies.;)

Yeah, I'm all about the food and drink! ;P

Don't get me started on wedding finances! LOL! If I can't pay cash for it, I ain't having it! :P But it is sad how some people feel the need to go overboard on material things.
