I have done a lot of thinking and I have come to the conclusion that it is in my best interest to not move out of the city and to not get a horse this year. This is because I want to focus my energy and money on getting better as a writer and filmmaker and making sure that career is stable enough to take care of me. Naturally, I still want a horse and I want to ride and to train horses, but ultimately they are a distraction from my true goals. We'll see where I am after my contract is up, but I also don't think I would be able to keep a horse past my contract because more than likely, I will not be earning the same amount of money when I go back to being a full time director/writer.

Working this job and being so bored while I'm doing it has allowed me some perspective on what I truly want to be doing with my life-- and that is living a creative life through writing and film, wholly. Who knows. Maybe I'll make it big within the next five years and be able to reach my horse dreams too.

But for now, I can't leave the opportunities of the city. Not to mention, I just fucking love the city.
