My first week of working at Google is over! It was an okay week, complete with a half day on Thursday because our software broke, so I was sent home early (paid all day). So far, I think Google is a pretty good company to work for. The job itself is a little tedious, but it's pretty cool to know that what I'm doing has an effect on future tech.

Christopher and I discussed our financial goals some more and we figured out a way to distribute my income so I can still have fun, get a horse, car, and fund film projects (including paying people). I like the new plan. It doesn't include any of my freelance money, which is something else I need to work on this weekend.

I need to make sure Neato Kino and myself are getting our names out into the world and earning money so when I leave my contract in 2 years, I won't be hurting and I won't necessarily need to go back.

Right now and in the upcoming months I am:
Co-directing Toxic Lullaby/Gone with the Dead
Directing Talk to the Gun
Possibly Assistant Directing another feature (only if it doesn't interfere with the above two)
Acting in Pain Killers
Directing a swede of American Mary
Directing the short "Speaking of the Dead"

Writing the novel: Bleed
Taking a writing class

Performing at and helping organize the feminist horror film festival

Most of that is just through February. I hope I'm not overloading myself. This week, I woke up at 4 AM everyday in order to make it to work on time, and because I wouldn't get home until after 5 most days, I was purely exhausted by the time dinner was ready. I'm hoping that I'll be more awake next week (flex-start times) and capable of working on projects as I have a lot of films to watch for research, books to read for reading goals, and other random things to do for the above. I like to be busy, but I hope this isn't too much busy for me to handle after not really being busy for awhile.
