I doubt you are brought here simply at random for no reason. It's possible you are brought here randomly for a specific purpose, however. One could speculate it has to do with the city and its current state of being damaged. It needs helps, so it wouldn't be unfathomable that it would seek to call for assistance, willing or unwilling.

The other speculation is that you are not randomly chosen, but you all have a specific purpose. I know that none of us brought you here-we're not capable of such. Whoever or whatever brought you here... I wonder why. Perhaps to destroy the city or to recreate it. Perhaps to do what we as Magisters could not.

The possibilities are endless. As for what I believe personally...I currently think you're here in response to the city's dying state.
