withdrawing...

So I'm set on going to Northwestern University School of Law (it's super exciting to type that). There is one barrier that's stopping me from it really being official, and that's withdrawing from The Law School at The University of Chicago (notice the pretentious name, heh). UChicago was my first choice when I started this process, and I didn't expect to get in. I really didn't. I moreso didn't expect to get into Northwestern, but for other reasons. I visited UChicago this weekend and really enjoyed the classroom experience, but it felt like UChicago was ALL about the classroom experience, whereas Northwestern seems like the perfect place a person like me who is used to USC's breadth with depth approach and isn't sure of her legal path would want to go; they have clinics, international research opportunities, several journals, as well as awesome professors.

My choice is clear, I just am afraid that I'm turning down UChicago partially because I'm so surprised I got in, and don't feel like I really belong at such an elite, academic club. I'm giving myself until Thursday to change my mind, then the withdrawal form goes in and there's no turning back.

This is scary.
