Truth be told, for the past few weeks I have been counting down until November 16th. What is so special about that day? That is the day I show my last 290. I will have made 5 films in 15 weeks. It's a pretty impressive feat. I have become a film factory. Churning them out one by one. It became a joyless process for me. I got ideas, I shot raw

well that's awesome. it gave me goosebumps and got me excited just picturing if i was you in that moment. I wish i could say i hadn't questioned my career path this semester. i almost feel committed to just sitting behind a desk--it would be easier than doing anything worthwild--and college sure beats the shit out of making one do meaningless crap
but this morning at 6am like the last 5 fridays i was recording elk calls--today they were very loud and scratchy (-that part as usual) and all of a sudden the oldest elk gave a pure three note call, similar to if a professional singer sang do-ri-me and I was like WHAT? bc usually the calls are harsh as hell and i was like that was cool---:)
and then later on he sang a pure call but not three distinct notes and then another elk did the same and then the oldest called back pure again......and then all the other calls were crappy sounding as usual, but for a second everything was musical, it wasn't the same as your experience but maybe it might keep me going til i find some real passion
