Alwin H. Kuchler, sharp and fluid photograph of Proof, starring Jake Gyllenhaal with a new accent, which I saw thanks to KCRW, thanks to Miranda.
Kuchler often worked with Winterbottom, who I got to speak (albeit briefly, clichely) at SFIFF and outside a theater in London, and -- to my re-discovery -- shot Ratcatcher, an interesting first feature film with a great Criterion, featuring a short film (Small Deaths: Winner of the Jury Prize at the 1996 Cannes Film Festival) that I often recommend to other filmmakers.
