Downton Abbey and Doctor Who Poll

However (and you are going to hate me for this) we have only seen the first couple episodes. Enough to know we like it (I actually knew within 60 seconds when she was getting Morse code and said 'impossible', I said "The Titanic" and Y. said "You don't know that!" (We both thought this was more Victorian than early 20th century). As soon as he said "maybe not, it could be anything", 'April 1912' flashed on the screen and we both said 'Yup, Titanic'. It happened too fast to bet on though. Damn.

Anyway, I KNOW it's frustrating to be seasons into a show and I announce we just started it so 'please, no spoilers yet but we'll let you know when we are more caught up'. So to shift gears from letting you know we have started Downton Abbey, I thought we might talk about what we think of the 12th incarnation of 'Doctor Who'.

In case you have yet to hear:

You might recognize him from the episode David Tennant did with Catherine Tate where they went to Pompeii and got close to a family and they ended up saving them. He was the father in that episode.

I know a lot of talk was for a Black Doctor or a Female Doctor (Helen Mirren leading the pack). Personally, I would have preferred a black, white, or any colour MALE doctor. I want a female in the white house, but the doctor is a romantic figure. Boys (and men) want to be him or like him, women dream of being his companion. I just didn't see myself getting into a female doctor (although a flashback to when there WERE time ladies with Helen Mirren or Dame Judi Dench might be interesting).

So here is a Poll for all of us "Whovians" on what we think of this choice (check all that apply for you).
