The Five Year Engagement- A Review By W.

Don't fucking see this film. Don't waste your time. Don't waste your money. Even my new girlfriend asked if we had to finish watching it. That's pretty bad when your core demographic of 20-40 year old women hate your movie as much as their male counterparts. Save your money. Save your time. Not even the talented and lovely Emily Blunt could salvage this Jason Segel film. What a waste of resources. A director like Darrin Aronofsky, or even early Woody Allen or Tarantino could make ten quality films with the money spent on that heap of crap.

So my Review for the Five Year Engagement is: Don't watch it. That advice includes and goes out especially to two of the writers of this blog that have been engaged five years and probably thinks it would be a fun film to watch. LISTEN TO ME GUYS, IT'S NOT. Save the money, order some take out, and watch an old trusted and true fave. Would Kubrick or Gilliam let you down in such a way. I don't think so.
