-She sleeps curled up in the fetal position. This partly comes from a subconscious want of security, and is partly a repercussion of sleeping under floorboards for extended periods of time; usually with her younger brother curled up beside her.

-Has a mild aversion to drinking milk. Obvious reasons.

-The first film she ever saw was Renoir's La Règle du Jeu (The Rules of the Game). She was hooked on the cinema from that day onward.

-Marcel was the first man she ever made love with. It was a year after her arrival in Paris, and she cried for hours afterward, which frightened him nearly to death. It wasn't that she didn't enjoy it or want to do it; she was merely frightened of caring for someone so much again, lest she lose him like the others.

-Has recurring nightmares of the day her family was murdered. She remembers it as clearly as the day it happened, and often has a hard time convincing herself it's a dream. It isn't uncommon for her to wake up crying, or else gasping for breath.

-She has a real contempt for circumstances beyond her control. She's fiercely independent and despises being put into situations where someone else decides what happens.

-Despite not understanding the conversation between the Jew Hunter and Monsieur LaPadite, Shoshanna knows that LaPadite betrayed her family. What else could have happened? It's something she has come to accept, for surely he only did so in order to protect his own family. She hasn't exactly forgiven his actions, as to her forgiveness isn't something that comes easily, but she at least understands why he did it.
