I hate moving. I live in subpar places just to avoid moving. And, the packing. I dislike the packing too. =P

Word. I've moved maybe two times in my entire life. One was when I was just a baby, so I can't remember it. Besides, it was only from an apartment from the first floor to one on the third. The second time was a twenty-two block haul to where I live now. And this will be number three. But onward and upward, I suppose.

Lucky. I seem to move every year or two. I've had a couple places sold while I was living in them. One time, the former owner didn't inform the new owner I was still there. I woke up to all this noise to find my studio surrounded by a survey crew. I've lived in 8 different places in the last 10 years. That's sad. I've never actually done the math before.

I know! We even got a letter (by which I mean, we photocopied the notice that appeared in the lobby) saying that they'd help us move, pay two months rent, and basically hand us the stars and moon. And then to read differently--not even told personally--in a newspaper! Well, that's a nice fuck you, isn't it?
And we've been here, what, eighteen gotdamned years?
