Hey hey! Two entries in one day! I must be bored xD
Anyway, the trailer for the newest telling of one of the Bard's masterpeices was released only hours ago, and I'm telling you I'm almost in the floor with excitement over it! In today's times, no one seems all that interested in Shakespeare or magic and sorcery (excluding the Harry Potter series) and it makes my heart sad. True, I only really care for a handful of Shakespeare's plays, but that's mainly because they require a lot of thought and I'm just plain lazy. The basic plots from his works can be seen in many movies over the past few years (Curse of the Golden Flower, Ye Yan/The Banquet/Legend of the Black Scorpion, others that I can't remember right now), and Kenneth Brannagh has certainly done justice to some in his time (Henry V, Much Ado About Nothing, Hamlet).
But now we get something like this! An amazing cast (say what you will about Russell Brand, but I quite like him as an actor and a comic), using actual dialogue from the play itself rather than trying to modernize it, and gorgeous visuals. I'm salivating! Not that anyone wanted to know that..............WATCH THE TRAILER!!!
