I spoke too fucking soon. When we went to the lake as I was getting out of the water my mother said, "Well, that bathing suit certainly doesn't look the same as when we went on the cruise." Which loosely translates to, "You've gained weight/you look fat."
I wish I could post pictures. You'll just have to imagine a picture that says "Me on the cruise" looking cute and trim in my red bathing suit. And then a picture that says "Me now, according to my mother" that shows one of those tutu wearing hippos from Fantasia. Poor James has had to spend the last two days repeating, "You're not fat, your mother is a cow," like a mantra.
One week left. Fuck me.
