The Mighty Boosh Documentary @ Cinefest

Aug 30, 2010 14:59

Friday, September 3rd Cinefest Film Theatre at Georgia State University will host the Atlanta premiere of Journey of the Childmen: The Mighty Boosh On Tour:

The Mighty Boosh is one of those rare comedies that began with a DIY aesthetic and transferred from radio and TV success to become a national phenomenon, catapulting its stars Julian Barratt and Noel Fielding to stadium rock star status. This film captures the roller coaster ride of their huge success, as they navigate a nation hooked on the cult of Boosh.

JOTC was filmed across the mammoth 99 date UK tour undertaken by The Boosh in the winter of 2008-2009, visiting everywhere from tiny theaters to full-blown arenas, during which time they performed to 270,000 fans. The film provides an intimate and honest portrait of life on the road for the Mighty Boosh, and is essential viewing for fans, as well as those interested in comedy and documentaries. Shot in an observational style by award winning filmmaker Oliver Ralfe, JOTC is a personal and hilarious portrait of the phenomena of the Mighty Boosh and the characters who invented it.
