you got the cut right... that is *SO* against the law... I think it is under the HOA, although I am not versed with the laws in the US, since I am Canadian... but they are violating I think... supposedly, in SF, they can ask for this... but my brian can be very fuzzy! LOL!

You have every right to have Mac there!

That's basically the law here in Arizona. I was told and the way the law is written that the only thing that they can ask for is your ID card if you got your dog from a school. That's in the law. Requiring a yearly "prescription" or letter of medical necessity is against the law. My friend who has a service dog doesn't have to get a letter every year and he has MS. MS isn't necessarily a permanent condtion like RP is. So once I find out they got their letter, I'm going to see who's head is going to roll. Housing Authority here in Phoenix knows I fear what's the word well I fear getting kicked out if I make a stink and they've told me that I won't be booted if I come to them with an issue so here we go again. First the window screening and now the doctor's letter. ARGH.

They're hoping you don't make a stink as you put it. My spelling sucks nuts lol. Seriously they count on "disabled" people, because they are yes ma, types or so they think. They don't know wer'e totally ready to rip them apart. I understand rent is very afordable for you, but man if that were me, I tinkI'd rather live in a cardboard box. I mean no offense at all by my comment, I am not saying you're anything but a great person. Right off to bed, I was waiting up for a friend but he decided toditch me. yawn,

Gurhrhrhrhrhrhr! I've been there. First of all, I love how they call our dogs "devices." As if they're just robots. Good grief!
I could see them wanting that documentation if the condition was ever changing, but in your case, as well as mine, I just don't see the point.
