“Come on, Jake! Matt Bomer is so fucking hot!”

Jake rolled his eyes, not bothering to answer his overly hyper boyfriend because Van wasn’t paying attention to him in the least.

Ever since he found out that Jake was going to be doing a four episode arc on ‘White Collar’, Van hadn’t stopped fan-girling. Or fan-boying. What-the-fuck ever, he shrugged internally. Jake wasn’t bothered by it in the least.

Just keep telling yourself that Jakey-boy. Your boyfriend drooling all over your co-star…who happens to be one of the hottest men on the face of the planet and totally out and proud…doesn’t bother you one bit.

Jake snorted. He was a fucking liar who lies, especially to himself.

“And his eyes…god, they’re the most beautiful eyes I’ve ever seen!” Van’s voice was all dreamy and Jake couldn’t help the little stab of hurt at the words. Van always used to say that Jake had the most beautiful eyes in the world.

He was kind of regretting bringing Van to the set for the first day of shooting. It was going to be hard enough to concentrate without having to watch Van grin at Matt the whole time.

It didn’t help that Matt was also one of the nicest guys he’d ever met. When they had been introduced after Jake had been cast as a distant cousin of Elizabeth Burke who’s been wrongly accused of embezzling from his employer, the man had been funny and charming and made Jake feel comfortable immediately.

Sighing, he walked toward the dressing room he’d been assigned, not sure if Van was following him or not. He was so distracted that he almost didn’t hear his name being called.

“Silbermann, wait up!”

Jake turned to see Matt jogging up to him. He felt a flash of irritation, but immediately felt bad for it. It wasn’t Matt’s fault Van was more interested in him that his own boyfriend.

He extended his hand. “Hey Matt. Good to see you again.”

Matt smiled and took his hand. “Yeah, you too! So, you ready to do this?”

Jake nodded. “Yeah, really looking forward to it actually. Been doing so much stage work, it’ll be nice to do something different for a while.”

“I hear you. Sometimes a change can make things more exciting.”

Jake looked over at Van, who’d just noticed them talking and was hurrying over. That’s what I’m afraid of.

When Van came to stand beside Jake, Matt looked up at him curiously.

“Matt, this is Van…” He was cut off by Matt.

“Dude, you’re Van Hansis, right? Oh my god, this is awesome! I loved you on As the World Turns! Luke’s coming out story had me hooked, right from the beginning.”

Matt turned to Jake. “I mean, I knew you’d been on the show and everything…” He turned back to Van. “…but watching everything Luke went through totally helped me feel better about myself back then! And you totally sold it all!”

Jake’s first reaction was to grin at the way Van turned bright pink. After all this time, there was nothing that embarrassed Van more than something giving him genuine compliments.

His second reaction was to start scowling when he realized that Matt was as big a Van fan as Van was a Matt fan. This couldn’t go anywhere good.

Jake took a small step back as the two men started to talk animatedly. He looked at them standing together, both of them so startlingly beautiful it was almost hard to look at.

There was some small part of his brain that was trying to bitch slap him for being so stupid, but he couldn’t help it. He hadn’t felt this unsure of himself since his first days working with Van.

Matt’s voice broke through his thoughts. “Hey, I was gonna go and grab a coffee before heading up to makeup. You guys wanna come?”

Van nodded enthusiastically. “Yeah, that would be great!” He looked so excited, but Jake just couldn’t bring himself to sit and watch them together.

“You guys go ahead. I want to go over a few things and make sure I get everything right.” He tried to smile as he said it but he was sure it probably looked all wrong.

Matt didn’t seem to notice. “Oh yeah…you’re one-take Jake, right? I hear you’re quite the perfectionist.”

Jake knew Van was looking at him, wondering about his strange behavior, but he couldn’t bring himself to look back.

“Yeah.” Jake forced a chuckle. “That’s me…always needing to get everything right.” He turned and walked to the door of his dressing room. “You guys go ahead. I’ll catch up with you later.”

He opened the door, waving over his shoulder as he went through it, ignoring Van’s puzzled “Jake?” closing it quickly behind him, sinking back against it in misery.

“Fuck, Silbermann, you’re so fucking stupid, sending your boyfriend off with the man of his dreams.” He started pacing in the little room, ranting to himself quietly. “Might as well of handed them a box of condoms and lube and told them to have a good time.”

He walked over and leaned against the wall by door before sliding down and sitting on the floor, knees bent and pulled back against his chest.

How was he going to do this now? Matt probably thought he was a freak and he knew Van had been looking at him like he’d grown a second head!

They’d had to wait so long to be together…Van so worried about Jake’s career and Jake unsure if Van really wanted him…and now he’d fucked it all up with his stupid jealousy. He closed his eyes and banged his head into the wall hard.

He sat quietly for a few minutes, the blood rushing through his veins drowning out all the other sounds around him. When he tried to bang his head against the wall in frustration once again, he was stopped by warm fingers curling gently around the back of his head.

Startled, he opened his eyes and found himself looking into Van’s as he crouched in front of Jake.

“I’d really appreciate it if you’d stop abusing your poor head. I’m kind of fond of it you know.”  There wasn’t a hint of mocking or disgust in Van’s voice, just love and understanding…and maybe a little guilt.

“I’m sorry…”

Jake looked up at Van. “I’m the one who should be sorry.”

Van shook his head. “I’ve been kind of obsessed the last few weeks, huh?”

Jake shrugged, looking at his fingers tangled together on his knees instead of at Van. “It’s no big deal. I shouldn’t have let it get to me.”

Van let his hand come around and card through Jake’s hair and Jake couldn’t stop himself from leaning into the touch.

“So why did you?” The question had Jake looking up finally. “Why didn’t you just smack me on the head and tell me to shut up?”

“It wasn’t bothering me that much.” Jake sighed, letting his eyes flutter shut for a moment before opening them and meeting Van’s concerned gaze. “And you’re only here for a few weeks at a time. I didn’t want to spend it complaining or fighting.”

He let his hand drift up and wrap around Van’s wrist, enjoying the feeling of the soft skin under his fingertips.

“When did it start to bother you?” Van put his free hand on top of Jake’s on his knee.

Jake blew out a deep breath. “You’re gonna think I’m stupid.”

“Why don’t you let me be the judge of that?” Van leaned in and nuzzled his nose against Jake’s temple and Jake was surrounded by the clean, soapy smell of Van’s skin.

“When you said about his eyes.” He looked at the floor, too embarrassed to look at his boyfriend.

Van huffed out a breath and Jake could feel stupid tears pushing at the back of his eyes. He guessed he deserved to be laughed at, but it still hurt.

Then both of Van’s hands were on his face, urging him to look up. “I’m so sorry baby.” He leaned in to kiss Jake’s forehead before pulling back to look at him again. “I wasn’t thinking as usual, just talking my fool head off.”

Jake shook his head. “It’s okay…”

Van cut him off. “No it’s not okay. I honestly didn’t mean to hurt your feelings, but I should have known better.”

He carefully traced under Jake’s eyes, and then feathered kisses over both of them before looking into them once more.

“Matt does have beautiful eyes…”Jake started pulling back. “…no, wait, let me finish...he has beautiful eyes, but they aren’t the ones that I see my whole world in.” He pushed down on Jake’s knees and Jake took the hint, stretching out so that Van could climb into his lap. “And I think I forgot to remind you of that.”

Van settled his knees around Jake’s hips pressing them together as tightly as he can and leaning his forehead against Jake’s. “You’re everything to me Jake and I’m so tired of being apart.”

Jake’s heart started to speed up, something like hope starting to grow in his chest.

“I think it’s time I came home. LA is getting me nowhere except further from you. I think maybe I need to see if I can get some theater work here in New York.” Van grabbed the collar of Jake’s jean jacket, using it to hold him close. “What do you think?”

Jake wrapped both arms around Van’s waist and nuzzled his face into the other man’s neck. “I think you need to do what’s best for you…but I’m selfish enough to say that I think it’s a hell of an idea.”

He could feel Van nod against the top of his head. “Yeah, me too.” Van sighed. “Guess I shouldn’t have given up the lease on my apartment. It’s gonna take forever to find another decent place.”

Jake grinned and slid both hands up Van’s back to curl over his shoulders. He pulled him away a bit so he could look into his eyes. “I happen to know where there’s an apartment with a bedroom that has a king-sized bed, already made up with the kind of sheets that you love and includes the use of three quarters of a huge walk in closet that doesn’t have a whole lot of clothes in it.”

“Hmmmm, does this apartment come with a gorgeous boyfriend for a roommate? One who’s forgiving and understanding of the fact that my mouth tends to run away with itself sometimes?”

Jake shivered as Van’s hands slid down and under the front of the button up shirt Jake was wearing, his fingers teasing over the soft hair under his navel, making him squirm.

“It does, as long as you can forgive him for being a jealous, insecure ass sometimes?” Jake curled his knees up a bit, pressing Van closer to him. “You’re pretty amazing you know. I’m not the only guy to notice that.”

Van leaned in, slanting his lips over Jake’s. They kissed until they were both breathless and needed to breath. “You’re the only one I see looking at me…cause I’m looking right back at you.”

Jake could feel those tear pressing at the back of his eyes again, only this time it was because he was so happy. He blinked them away. “So you’re gonna move in with me, right? Bring your cats and your clothes and that crazy old book collection that you have and make my house ours?”

Van nodded frantically before kissing him again. Now that the angst was over, Jake’s cock was starting to wake up and take interest in the fact that Van was rubbing himself against it and he was pretty sure that his new dressing room wasn’t the place for this.

“Van, sweetheart…we really shouldn’t be doing this here.”

Van had that deliciously wicked look in his eyes that always got Jake hard in three seconds flat. “Why not?” His hands came up and started undoing the buttons on Jake’s shirt, his lips kissing every inch of skin that was uncovered.

“I’m at work…and it’s my first day…” He groaned as Van pushed his unbuttoned shirt back and latched onto a nipple. “And I should probably go and apologize to Matt.”

Van bit at the pebbled skin, smiling when Jake yelped. “Matt’s fine…and you’re two hours early. We have time.” He mouthed his way over to Jake’s other nipple, grinding their denim covered cocks together.

“I can’t go to makeup with come in my jeans…”It was getting harder to convince himself…and Van…to stop.

Van looked up at him. “Then I guess I’d better make sure you don’t make a mess.”

Jake’s breath stuttered when Van sort of pushed him sideways until he was flat on the floor. Van attack Jake’s belt and zipper, smiling in triumph when they were both undone. He pulled the jeans and underwear down over Jake’s hips until his cock popped out and slapped against his stomach.

Jake lifted up on his elbows to watch as Van used one hand to hold his cock steady before sucking him in. It never stopped blowing Jake’s mind how good Van was at deep-throating.

He tried to buck his hips, but Van had a tight grip on them, his thumbs digging in with almost painful pleasure.

“Oh fuck…Van…” He couldn’t get out a coherent sentence and it caused Van to pull off and chuckle.

“Gonna have to be quiet, babe, or everyone’s gonna know what we’re doing in here.” He chuckled again when the thought made Jake’s dick twitch. He leaned in and sucked him in again, slurping obscenely because Jake knew that Van was aware of how all the sounds of sex turned Jake on even more.

“You like that baby?” Van slipped one hand between Jake’s legs, rolling his balls in the palm of his hand. “You want everyone to know…want Matt to know that I’m in here sucking your cock…right here in your dressing room because I just can’t fucking wait to get you home?”

Van swallowed him down until his nose was being tickled by the nest of curly hair surrounding Jake’s cock.

Jake’s hands clenched in Van’s hair, pulling hard and he almost came right then when Van moaned around his mouthful of cock.

“Shit…Van…ohmyfuckinggod…!” His arms gave out and he was flat on his back, not even noticing when he head thudded on the carpeted floor.

He knew he wasn’t gonna last much longer and brought his hand up to cover his mouth just as Van wiggled one finger between the cheeks of his ass and slid it in, just to the first knuckle, the finger made slick by the saliva dripping down from Van’s mouth.

He gave the other man’s hair one tug of warning and Van’s hum of pleasure sent him over the edge, as he pumped strings of cum across Van’s tongue and down his throat.

When he came back to himself, Van was making sure he was completely clean, licking him gently, knowing when to pull back when the sensation became too much for Jake’s painfully sensitive cock.

He untangled his hands from Van’s silky blond hair and grabbed his shoulders, pulling him up weakly until he could lick the taste of himself out of Van’s mouth.

“I can’t believe you did that…”Actually, that was a lie. It wasn’t the first time Van had blown him in a totally inappropriate place. There was the time in Jake’s mom’s pantry…and in Van’s aunt’s bathroom at Christmas…

“Hmm…” Van licked his lips, smiling lazily at him. “You just taste so good.” He rolled his hips a few times, rubbing his hard cock against Jake’s thigh.

Jake reached for Van’s zipper but had his hand slapped away. He whined in protest. “But I wanna taste you too!”

Van rolled on top of him, the rasp of his jeans almost painful against Jake’s still bare cock. “You don’t have time now…and I’m gonna fuck you properly when I get you home.”

He leaned in, kissing Jake until they were both breathless again and then pulling back. “Time to get to work, Silbermann.” He got to his feet and offered a hand to Jake, pulling him up.

Once they were both standing, Van carefully tucked Jake back into his underwear and did up his jeans.

Once Jake’s clothes were straightened out, he wrapped both arms around Van’s waist and pulled him close, burying his face in the other man’s neck. “I love you so fucking much, baby.” He pressed soft kissing under Van’s jaw. “Sorry for being such a drama queen.”

Van chuckled. “You should be…that’s my job!”

Jake smiled and held him for a minute longer before reluctantly releasing him. I guess I should get to wardrobe, huh?”

Van took his hand and pulled him to the door. “Yeah. Want me to stay here?”

Jake shook his head. “Nope. Need you with me today.”

Van blushed and smiled at him a little shyly. “Yeah?”

Jake cupped his hand around Van’s cheek before kissing him gently. “Always.”

The smile he got in return was breathtaking. “Come on, I need to go and apologize to Matt. He probably thinks I’m a freak.”

Van shrugged. “You are…” He was cut off by Jake’s gasp, before continuing. “But you’re my freak and I love you.”

Jake huffed out a breath and then smiled wryly. “I guess I can live with that.” In his head, he finished the thought. Forever.

Matt Bomer, in case anyone was wondering.
