Bode has been so much fun and such a joy lately. He's been so funny and excited about every little thing. It's hysterical to watch him sometimes. He now hates meal times but loves to snack. He is back to throwing his food though. This happens only when he's in his high chair and he finds it quite amusing to throw his food on the floor and point to it. lol. When he has snacks though...he's so funny. I'll give him a bowl of frozen peas or little crackers and he'll hold the bowl with two hands and walk oh so carefully not to spill any until he reaches his destination. He'll pick up one little cracker in his hands and look at it and get so excited I can't even begin to write how he wiggles and giggles with excitement over this one little cracker. He's getting really good at making connections now too. We'll read him out of his picture books and he'll see a banana and stop get out of our laps, off the couch and pull us into the kitchen to point to the bananas sitting on the counter. Or lately we've been talking about the potty a lot. When you say potty he'll walk into the bathroom and try to lift the seat on the potty. He's not really too fond of sitting on it yet though. We need to get him one still. Dan and I think we prefer to have the seat that fits onto ours. Does anyone else have any other suggestions or reasoning for why we should opt for a separate potty? Also, he doesn't seem to be bothered in the least by having a dirty diaper. If I ask him if his diaper is dirty and if he made a poopy, he'll stop and touch his diaper but doesn't seem phased by it at all. He's not too keen on getting his diaper changed but most times he can be entertained and distracted.
Over the weekend it was so warm out that I had to take him for a little walk around the block. He was such a sweetheart and held my hand the whole time and didn't even once try to take his hat off. We walked around the whole block too. It's probably at least a mile and a half! He amazes me...
Some photos of our walk...
