A year, almost to the day....
Dunes is this weekend and Matt is there now. I'm staying home with our new little guy.. oh wait... this is what happens when a year is missing from your journal. Let's get caught up-
Got pregnant, Matt graduated school (again), led a team to Serbia, Matt got a full time teaching job, I gave birth to a slightly alien looking son (he's cute now :-)) celebrated the marriages of three of my dear cousins (not to each other lest there be any confusion) and became friends with an awesome gal: Calais.
All in all a pretty busy year... per normal. We're staying busy trying to balance... well... life. You know, family, friends, ministry, work, fun...
Being a mom has not radically transformed my life as I thought it would. Being a nanny, I think, really helped with the transition. No, everything my kid does is not AMAZING (although he is pretty cool). And no, I can not leave my house in 10 minutes anymore :-P However, little Gid has been a whole new reason for me to pray and give thanks. He brings such joy and craziness to our little home.
Next weekend I'm heading out to the Women's retreat with GSCC and I'm really looking forward to it :-)
So many great things all wrapped up in a years time :-) What does God have in store for next year? hmmm....
