4...ì guess that's why I'm afraid of feeling too secure. It's like the moment I start feeling content, something happens. But maybe someday I can move away from that uneasy feeling.

3....Trying not to tie myself up in knots over my finances. Have mapped out a plan of action, so everything should work out. *crosses fingers*. It's a matter of timing. I will have funds by 3rd week of October so if I can make it work, Christmas will be a good one.

2....Got some extra food for the cats, and a few toiletries. It's probably me, but my skin seems to be recovering from ages of neglect. So now my kikay groove is coming back. Possibly also my sense of style. Not Fashion Week levels, but enough to turn a few heads.

Got a little stir crazy, so I decided to walk it off. Took my little kariton and strolled to the grocery in Forbes Park. Made the Fitbit happy. I may look like burned toast in the morning, but I'll be fine.../1

Oh boo. I can't find the stylus pen for my Galaxy S3. it's either on the floor, squeezed into a corner, or horrors! landed in the trash can by mistake yesterday. In the meantime, i discovered that the stylus of my other Samsung works just as well for the moment.

At the very least, his prep team should have combed his bio for any possible sticking points. But to swear in an SC judge with such a shadow over his head seems counterproductive in the long run.

So in the middle of all the arguments about Kavanaugh's fitness for the Sumpreme Court, a question starts niggling at me: did Kavanaugh really believe that his past would not rise up to haunt him, if not bite him? Because the past has a way of doing that.

I think I will be very relieved when the Kavanaugh issue is settled, one way or the other. While I appreciate the importance of the issue, the way it dominates the news is starting to wear...
