It's been an interesting day thus far...starting with the morning news, where I have scored three out of three in Twitter responses from the morning anchors (😁😁😁). Then one of my favorite correspondents had wall to wall appearances, once every hour from 8-11am Manila time. He's currently assigned to follow Trump around...fortunately he met nice people this time around. Need I say that my eyes are happy? 😁
Goodness, the news. Senator Trillanes has his hands full, now that he is the current target of the President. Who rescinded the very well-documented pardon that was granted under the previous administration. Twitter tells me one does not simply rescind a pardon just like that; there are procedures. President's camp claims pardon was null and void from the start; and the government appears to have very conveniently lost the documentation of the pardon.
This erupted while the President was away in Israel. He's on his way back now, so we shall see. Trillanes is a Navy soldier who launched two strikes against the government before he became Senator; both of which took the government by surprise, if I remember correctly. He's not your garden variety politico.
Meantime, the dollar exchange rate has gone up. So have prices. There's an underlying tension in the air, and I find myself imitating my mom, checking if we have enough food and securing our funds. Just to be safe.
Then an ocean away, there's this whole New York Times anonymous editorial that seems to have Washington reaching for the smelling salts. Trump, as expected, is livid over the whole thing. It will be interesting to see how things shape up.
Got new swag from the online shops. A new Fitbit watchband, and a new exerciser. Now I can go back to exercising whole I watch the morning news...get into shape before Christmas. 😊
So now I'm down now for a nap. Catch you all later...
