An early sunday morning in May, sunny and calm, everyone is asleep except for the cornershop selling the sunday papers. The Observer is now being flicked through over breakfast before the start of a long day of revision which will most probably be conducted in my sunny back garden. I advise anyone who want to enjoy the best in life to get up early, any time before nine o'clock, a summer Sunday and take a walk on quiet streets.

For the kitten-themed week, as opposed to last week's politics, turned out to be very sweet indeed. Some revising was attempted in between hanging out with Stalin and the rest of the cats but some cat-ching :) up will be required in the coming week.

On Thursday eight months-and-three-weeks pregnant Naomi with husband Paul came down with a big new tv for us as well as some fine-tasting sausages for a now traditional sausage&mash visit. After the feast i rolled down to Moseley for an equally traditional Thursday-pub quiz with Mewcat and her cats. Post-great-exam-results they were all fairly tipsy when i got there, very amusing to not be the drunkest person for a change! And no, despite excessive cheating we didn't win.

Friday night was spent at Toni's house at a very grown-up d i n n e r p a r t y with lots of great food, wine, and friends. In suitable middle-aged fashion we all retired around eleven -i was in bed by midnight...

...only to wake up at 1pm the next day! Can't rememeber last time i slept for that long. About an hour was dedicated to revising before it was time for yet more food! Barbeque!!! With Mewcat, George and Pope we went to Hannah's house for burgers, sausages, chicken and beer. Lots of lovely people and a cat! Super-cute he was although rumoured to have a bit of a temper and sharp claws.

Looking back maybe this has been more of a great food-week than a kitten week? Although, I did wake up snuggled up to a beautiful kitten this morning and Stalin would certainly object to the "great food" bit as i discovered this morning she has been made to eat dog food poor thing!

Newly developed kitten pictures will be uploaded as soon as my flat mate with a scanner wakes up. Might be a while since i just put him in bed after bumping into him in the lounge, drunk as a pear!

Theme for next week will be (Revision!) jazz as i'm now positively addicted to them old jazzing cats
