Alaina (who turned 5 in May) : "Look, Mommy... there's some mushrooms!"
Me: "Yes, those are mushrooms. Don't touch them!"
Alaina: "Why, because frogs jumped on them?"
Me: "What?" (thinking, WTF frogs???)
Alaina: "You know, Mommy... when frogs jump on them, it makes them poison."
Me: "Oh, is that what does it?"
Alaina: "Yes. But when they're on the pizza, the frogs can't jump on them, so we can eat those."
Me: "Oh."
Me: "Yes, those are mushrooms. Don't touch them!"
