Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'...

Hm. What have I been up to? Not lots of accomplished stuff, but some. Picking up a prescription, returning stuff to Walgreen's for a refund, making copies of transcripts and dropping them off at the City of Sacramento personnel office, making out the form and sending off another transcript request, um, other stuff I don't remember.

Tuesday evening, Marilyn came over after her Photoshop class and kept me company while I vacuumed my bedroom ceiling and walls. I tried the floor, too, but it was pretty hopeless; clouds of starch dust everywhere. The moths are starting to come out again, and there were all kinds of little pupae hanging from the ceiling. Gone now! But it's a tiny dent in the total numbers that I know are waiting to hatch. Urgh.

Last night, I went over to Artemis's to visit for a precious couple of hours. It's always SO good to connect; neither of us is ever satisfied that we have enough time. I saw lots of her photographs and enjoyed them so much. I feel such a thrill of delight about her work; I knew she'd be good with it, and I knew she'd love it. I'll be learning lots of stuff from her now, I'm sure.

Tonight I went to Marilyn's for delicious beef-and-barley soup. We visited a bit, and we saw the movie Good Will Hunting, which Marilyn had seen but I had not. I was seriously impressed with the writing, and the acting was superb. I'm so glad I saw it!

I decided against trying to do that federal application I was going to do. When I read the job description more closely, it was clear that what they wanted was someone to do engineering drawings and maps, using software I'm unfamiliar with. It looked like it would be fun to do, and I would be able to learn it with no problem, but I know better now than to try for positions for which I have no experience.

Today I got a turn-down from the City of Folsom for an application I put in there. Feh.

Otherwise, I've been reading and indulging in lots of picture-downloading. Obviously my new Harry Potter obsession isn't going away overnight, but I do hope it won't last long. Like all these obsessions, I love it so much I can't stay away, but at the same time it's agonizingly painful.

I do finally have an appointment to see my new psychiatrist next Friday. I think I need to adjust my Effexor dosage upward a bit. We'll see.

Tomorrow's the MacNexus workshop, then I'll probably be going over to Marilyn's again. I need to do laundry, so will be hauling that along too. I haven't got up early for days and days, so I hope I can be coherent tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. ;-P
