I can't help myself but get involved. This town home we have been at for going on 2 months has so many stray cats. I can't believe it at night they come out the drains on the sides of the road.Literally about 50-60 and you know some are pregnant.
I promised my husband not to get too involved but I see it coming already. After many emails and phone calls I came across Save our Strays that has a fund available for exactly this stray and ferrel cats. So i got the ball rolling I will do all the trappings and take them to get fixed and also shots for rabies parasites and feline leukemia test. Then I will bring them back to release them back into their colonies and continue along with several neighbors to feed them. Some are friendly and I will try to find homes for them....
ITZWICKS I may have a kitten just for u when u come to Tampa HINT HINT!
I am worried that like many other people who have the love for cats and try to help end up being a dumping ground for irresponsible people who don't want theirs anymore. The Humane Society of the United States has estimated that one male and one female cat and their offspring will produce over 240,000 cats within seven years. Now that's a whole lotta kitties, maybe I can make a bit of a difference in that number in my neighborhood.
I hope I don't offend anyone with this last note....MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
