Guess I'm settled in enough now ...
So, seems I am/we are settled in at least enough now that I can begin getting back to the "my" stuff ... the stuff that's my personal interests, hobbies, etc. There's still more to do yet .... always will be ... especially since I'm one forever changing things around for "freshness" and all too.
This morning, I found a predator bird attempting to attack my geese *right along the fence of the backyard* which is only just a few yards from the house itself - right outside the back door. Took care of spooking it off but it was extremely interesting watching the two guy-geese protecting the gal-goose. This thing even had the two horses snugged up against the garage wall (of which the back door opens up directly into the big pasture. Plus, my new Winston (very young Nubian buck) and his buddy Griffin (my new itty-bitty Jersey bull) were out in the paddock area which is *right* next to where the geese, horses and bird were freaking out. The other cows didn't seem to mind this bird; they were all just out moseying around in the big pasture while all this going on. The rest of the goat herd and the chickens were all sticking up in the other paddock/barnyard area that's just off the barn. Quite interesting to observe all this.
So, so far, the predators I've dealt with here are: foxes, skunk and this bird.
My three Doberman girls are doing wonderfully and so are all my kittys. So, all and all, all's well and looking forward to advancing in my own personal interests with more diligence now that the largest part of the "move/settling in" is now done.
Anyway ... I should be back around LJ a good bit more now. Just wanted to say "hi all" again!
