Hola kids!
It's literally been months since I've been on lj. I'm definitely slacking. Life seems to finally have fallen into a regular pattern (that includes internet), so I hope to start updating again very soon (and catching up on all the posts I've missed since June!).
So here's the quick run down of what's happened in the last couple of months:
- Spent most of the summer at my dad's house/camper on Lake Ontario/St. Lawrene River. I basically did nothing but go swimming/boating/kayaking/water-tubing every day. With the exception of not having the internet, it was a pretty sweet summer.
- Spent a week in Philadelpha with my cousin Terry. I've never really gotten the chance to get to know her (she is the same age as my mother afterall!), and she's absolutely fabulous. I can't wait to see her again. She owns a restaurant with her ex-husband Michael, and we did nothing but eat large quantities of amazingly delicious (and expensive) food. The two of us even managed to drop about $250 at a sushi restaurant one night! It was definitely worth it. Now that I've written that, I'm reminded of the fantastic plum sake martinis I had there. I must find myself some plum sake...
- Went to NYC for one last rendez-vous with Erica and her Babci (I miss you love!).
- Moved to Edinburgh. This upcoming week, will be my third week of classes. I'll have to write more someother time, but for now I'll just say that is really fucking hard-core and I feel a bit over my head at the moment. But I'm sure this feeling shall pass.
I downloaded the new E.S.T. album today and am currently doing everything possible to keep from doing my homework, so I can give the album a proper listening. So far, so good. Perhaps I'll just slack off for the rest of the night listening to E.S.T. and reading my new Jane Austen anthology. I've recently become extremely obsessed with Austen and am feverishly trying to read all over her books. Quite tempting I must say!
Anyways, a real update on Scotland and whatnot will hopefully follow shortly. Until then, Adieu!
