Day 22 - Something that upsets you, in great detail
A lot of things make me upset but the one thing that upsets me more than anything else is bad parenting.
I'm not talking about a parent who doesn't quite know what they are doing, or a parent that makes mistakes. People make mistakes. Humans do. I'm talking about people who shouldn't have had kids, didn't want them, or use them as some sort of accessory to their lives. The ones that refuse to accept that they are gifted with this miracle and take it as a burden.
The parents who drop their kids off at 7:20 when we open at 7:30 and don't pick up till the last minute. Not because they have jobs but just because it's so hard to have kids. The ones who want their little kids to be perfect little angels and who couldn't tell you if their kids favorite color was red or blue and couldn't tell you what scares them or what they really want in life. They think of them as dolls, not little humans.
And that upsets me.
