Somehow I've managed to not post anything for three months on LJ. I just got out of the habit.
My spring trip to San Diego was fantastic! The morning I left Denver it was snowing, and the flight was delayed by an hour, while we waited for de-icing. When I arrived in San Diego I pulled off my boots and slid my feet into flip-flops.
Since then, I worked at the green house through the busy season (now I'm unemployed again) and utilized my discount for more things for our yard. This year we actually have a small and plentiful vegetable garden. The tomatoes are really loving the heat we've been having here. Wish I could say the same.
I made salsa this last weekend with our fresh tomatoes, jalapenos, and cilantro, for a small gathering at a friend's house. The salsa was devoured. We also have some strawberries, planted last year, which are getting ready to produce again. It is so gratifying to grow food. I can't believe we waited so long to do this.
I will gradually catch up with other events of the summer past and future--but I prefer to do this slowly, as otherwise I will be writing an epic here.
