TV Musings

Finally got caught up on a few shows - although there are still 3 or 4 episodes of Carnivale hanging around that I haven't had a chance to get to yet.

This episode really demonstrates, to me at least, that the weight of this show rests firmly on the shoulders of Edward James Olmos and Mary McDonnell, and they are pitch perfect in their performances. And man, am I a sucker for that estranged father & son dynamic. "If it were you ... we'd never leave." Wah! As for Starbuck - oh yeah, that's my girl. ;-)

I continue to love this show, and though this week's case was pretty meh, the flashbacks did reveal some interesting things about Lilly and Veronica - both their characters and relationships to each other. Of course, the last scene was the killer - poor, damaged Logan. This is gonna be messy. Yay!

I was less than thrilled with the Charlie flashbacks - I like him well enough, but enough already. That Drive Shaft tune is catchy, though. ;-) As for my boy Sawyer - say what you will, but I loved that he gave Kate the gun after Jack had pretty much told her to get along now, little lady, and let the big, strong men protect you. And again with the nicknames - Jungle Boy, hee! The previews look ... interesting.

Paula needs to have her meds adjusted. That is all.
