New layout

A layout goddess I am not, so thank goodness there are other generous souls about who are willing to share their talents. I was a bit tired of my basic component layout, and so am now using Robber's Daughter by roniabirk, which is an opal variant, I believe. And very customizable. :-) I'm also really glad I saved this gorgeous Fool For Love banner which ( Read more... )

The moon is up,
It's getting late.
Let's get ready to celebrate.
It's pajama time.
Ooooh, yeah, it's pajama time!
(pajamadeebop)

What me, close my eyes and see Sandra Boynton books in my brain?

Never.

Btw, the Philedelphia Chickens CD is the ultimate crack for a little kid.

One can't read "Pajama Time", one must sing pajama time. With a little hip hop beat.

Yes, we must not forget the hip hop beat. Because the three of us aren't, say, the whitest women in the world or anything. *g*

Yo.

See I didn't even know there was a cd!

::checks Amazon::

If you want some really cool kids music try Jessica Harper. She mixes jazz, big band and a little rock with some of the wittiest lyrics around.

And Tom Chapin. You haven't lived until you've heard "Salad Bowl".

And of course Trout Fishing in America. They're like the Grateful Dead of the kid set ...but without the drugs...or skulls and stuff.

But hey, you're a kid doc, you could probably give me recs!

There are two compilation CDs of her work..Philedelphia Chickens and Rhinoceros Tap. You'll recognize a lot of the books and most of them are actually songs.

The CDs are just superb. And, yeah, crack.

We've been reading "But Not the Hippopotamus" ourselves.

A moose and a goose together have juice ...
But not the hippopotamus.

So sad. But she finds love and acceptance in the end. The armadillo, however, seems to be a lost cause.

I have not checked out the Philly Chickens - will have to do so.
