AtS Drabble: Teamwork
This is another drabble from that drabble meme I offered up a few weeks ago. See, I haven't forgotten you! This one is for enigmaticblues, who asked for Wesley, between seasons 2 & 3 before Angel returns, and the prompt "take-out." It's probably more ensemble than you were looking for, but I hope you like it. :-)
"Any luck?" Cordelia asked, sipping her diet soda.
Wesley sighed. "Not really. Fred peeked her head out, asked if Angel had returned, then grabbed the take-out bag and skittered away like a frightened rabbit."
"Good thing we ordered extra this time."
"Perhaps tomorrow..."
Gunn shook his head. "I don't know, man. If tacos didn't work, I don't know what will."
"Well, we can't just give up on her! I mean where would any of us be if..."
Cordy patted Wesley's hand. "I'll try tomorrow."
Gunn nodded "I'll take Thursday."
Wesley smiled. Angel would be proud; they made a good team.
