I have heard from semi-reliable sources that Spike has received his new soul fan, and is currently winging his way across the country and will soon be returned to my loving arms. And there was rejoicing throughout the land. :-)
I watched two of my favorite reality shows the last couple of nights, Rockstar: Supernova (a guilty pleasure, to be sure), and Project Runway.
I don't think this year's group of contestants is as talented overall as last year, although there are a few standouts. And Tommy Lee is just embarrassing. However, I am once again crushing big time on Dave Navarro. Pretty tattooed men in eyeliner. Rowr. And yes, I realize Tommy Lee is also tattoed, with eyeliner, but there's really nothing attractive about him, is there? My favorites right now are Dilana, Ryan, and Magni.
As for Project Runway,
Well, as much as I love Michael, I think Jeffrey should have won. Except I don't really like him, so that's okay. :-) He did score points, though with "Another high waisted skirt...fuck." And yes, Laura's stuff is beautiful, but it's very same old/same old, and I wonder if the judges are ever going to call her on it. But she's right - Vincent is weird. I was kind of creeped out when he was talking about how his dress "got him off" and "turned him on." Especially since it was so ugly. He made a simple sheath dress and glued garbage to it - why is he still there? Yes, Alison had a bad night, but I would much rather have seen Vincent go. Oh well.
I've been a bit down lately, and cinderhub has decided shiny presents might cheer me up, so he came home with an iPod Nano hidden behind his back the other day. I'm not complaining. :-) I have been playing with it non-stop since, and it certainly made the loud echoing chamber that is the aquatic center much more tolerable for the 8 days of swim lessons I had to endure. In celebration, I am going to do this music meme, which I snagged from szandara. Keep in mind that this is only a part of my music collection, as everything else is (say it with me now) on my laptop. I know, I'm sick of hearing about it, too.
