Yes, this is it, my last day of summer. *Big sigh* I know it must come to an end every year but that doesn't mean I have to like it. Let's see, my summer goals were to:
1. Finish the Princess Story: Still working on it
2. Clean my room: riiiiight....
3. Get a different job: This is harder than I thought, I need to make at least as much money as I do now and not work any more hours due to class schedule, so I'm still working on this too
4. Read a lot: WOO HOO! I DID ONE!
I've started working on what I call Harry Potter and the Journal of Interests. It's basically me going through each book and cataloging the small things like, who are Harry's yearmates, interesting names that pop up, people who don't seem important right now but might play a part later, things that are said that don't seem to have a bearing to the story at this time, stuff like that. It's really rather fun to do. ^_^ I'm noticing all kinds of stuff I didn't notice before. Yeah, I know, I started it kinda late in the summer. Well :p I didn't have the idea until late in the summer. LOL
On another note, we have this voluntary, "confidential" survey they want us to do at work. I don't mind taking the survey 'cause I got lots to say about how they manage my store, but what I don't like is the fact that my head manager keeps asking me if I've done it. He's even got a paper that he marks down if you've done the survey. This means that if you take it, he knows, and can make an educated guess at which comments are yours when they are sent to him. He also keeps saying things like, "When I took the survey I was careful about what I said because they ask for the last 4 digits of your social." It's run by an outside company who must make sure you actually work for the company to let you take the survey. When they pass the comments along they won't pass the socials but I see what he's saying, watch what you type 'cause I'll know. I really hate the way he gives us veiled threats. I'm gonna take that survey and say it all anyway.
Ok, so that wasn't a happier note. *pauses to think* I get to go to Disneyland in Sept! We bought our plane tickets last night! YAY! Go Disneyland!
