I'm at work right now. I have like 2.5 weeks of school left, then another week up here before I come back to Ohio. Things haven't looked up as much in a long time.
I had a talk with my parents the other day, and they more or less told me to not worry about actually getting a job until after the Till Plains tour in June. This takes a massive weight off of my shoulders for a while. I just hope I'll be able to work somewhere that isn't The Fresh Market. I don't think any place I've worked enraged me as much as that one.
Yeah, school was closed today, but I'm still at work. Bum out. I only have class three days a week next semester, which could either be the best or worst thing ever. Best because of the obvious fact that I'd only be in class 3 days a week, worst if this current four day weekend has been any indication. I don't know how long I'd be able to survive drinking most nights/going downtown to my friend's apartment to play Rock Band until 4:30am.
Went to a party the other night that did nothing but remind me why I don't usually go to parties. Whoops.
Joe/Nate/myself went to Connecticut last weekend to play a show in Willamantic at some anarchist/communist collective space. All of the people were really nice, and a guy who had to be in his late 60's picked up a copy of our preview cd (we can't release the full one until it's paid for, but our friend is letting us release 2 songs off of it since we paid for a third of it). We stayed at our friend Schuyler's house both nights, watching all sorts of terrible movies, skipping rocks on a lake, and going to stores that sell every variety of shirts with animals on them for $3 a pop.
Oh, and then there was a flea market that had swords for sale.
I'm really goddamn excited for summer.
