- Walked the Thanksgiving Day 10K Race for the second year. Time was about 2 minutes slower than last year, but then again, Kasey and Kevin were not around to push Kathleen and I. Still, we kept a good pace and my feet were still aching through Saturday. Will post photos if they look decent, of course!
- Brought a boy home for Thanksgiving for the first time ever. Things went swimmingly. I made gotcris's Romesco Dip and the family treated Roy like one of their own. It was almost heartwarming to watch him get hazed.
- Ate enough delicious, fattening and salty food to counteract all good effects of powerwalking 6 miles. And then some!
- did NOT wait in line at 3 in the morning for the must-have electronic gifts on Black Friday. Instead I went out around 10, got bored very quickly, and was home within an hour. I don't really like to shop. Usually I set that aside to get a new monitor, hard drive, GPS, etc. But I wasn't feeling it this year.
- Met up with the family again Saturday night for the Cincinnati Zoo's Festival of Lights. Honestly? Kind of disappointing. Looong line of cars to get in, way-expensive cost of admission, very little excitement to see. It was OK, but not something I'd be all excited to do every year.
- Caught up on lots of TV and some DVDs from Blockbuster I'd rather not have watched.
Yay busy holiday season!
