Another Week Gone By

Mar 05, 2007 09:19

So, where did the last week go? I don't remember much of it. No, seriously. It's been kind of a blur.

I know I had a birthday. I couldn't really take the time to celebrate because there was so much going on, but thanks to everyone who sent along their best wishes. So begins the last year of my 20s.

This weekend we had two extra rehearsals. I skipped one of them, as I had already been rehearsing with VocalPoint for two hours. I also made another appearance on our local GLBT public affairs radio program (Alternating Currents) and attended a super-fun and uber-boozy party hosted by the Dread Pirate shimbexprovides.

Did I mention I have a concert next weekend? It's called Women We Love and it's going to be fabulous. Music by and honoring all our favorite women: Tina, Liza, Judy, Madonna, our Moms, Rosa Parks, Coretta Scott King... the list goes on and on. Tickets are $20 and available at the door, Universal Grille, Shooters, and www.cincinnatimenschorus.org. If you buy a ticket for Sunday, you get to come an hour early and hear another woman we love -- Candace Gingrich -- at no additional charge thanks to a collaboration with demcub and Equality Ohio.
