The Electric Grandmother
When I was a kid, I remember my mom introducing us to a made-for-tv movie called The Electric Grandmother. It was based on Ray Bradbury's I Sing The Body Electric and starred Maureen Stapleton as the robotic grandmother who moves in with a family after their mother dies.
My mom has always loved the movie, and I thought I'd track a DVD down to give to her for Mother's Day. I found a new shrink-wrapped copy of it on Ebay, but wanted to watch it myself, so I borrowed a VHS copy from the library this afternoon.
Gotta love a little nostalgic indulgence. I even got a little sniffly :)
