It's always exciting to see what knowledge my family has gleaned about my interests over the year, resulting in their ideas of "good gifts" for Brian.
I have to say this year I was less confused. They did a great job. I got the few things that I asked for (a new electric razor and a Sonicare toothbrush), and several other really thoughtful gifts. Least-expected and most-appreciated was a set of 18 wine glasses. Party anyone? I adore kitchen gadgets, so I got an assortment of those as well. Watch out kids, I now own an electric knife!
The only thing that disappointed me actually concerned my gift to two of my sisters. They wanted iPods, and iPods are expensive, but I found a great deal on a good mp3 player from SanDisk, and I bought a pair of them the day after Thanksgiving. I even told my mom about it so she wouldn't get them mp3 players herself. Apparently dad wasn't let in on this conversation, and the kids got iPod Nanos. Whoops! So I'll be taking back their Sansas tomorrow and giving them money :D
