What's Up, Doc?

Working Late
So, things have been kinda busy for me as of late. With the new Brian around (Brian Jr.), I've been working a little later every day to make sure he's on top of things and to help him get comfortable with our setup here. He's been a great asset already in helping knock out the troublecalls that come in. And I think the users are really noticing a faster response time, which is great for everyone involved.

As expected, he's helping me with the server administration to make things run better, simplify the tools, etc. He's had a lot more in-depth study time with NW6.5 and clustering than I have, so he's a valuable resource to have around.

I just constantly hope he's not gonna be bored.

Long Rehearsals
CMC's rehearsal Wednesday night was pretty rough. There is a lot of work to be done. We always pull it together, I know... it's just gonna be a rough ride. I have a quintet rehearsal, then a 3-hour bonus rehearsal, then VocalPoint rehearsal on Sunday.

Looking Ahead
Happiness is imminent. Lots of things to look forward to. Rent opens on Wednesday (and STILL no Cinci theaters are showing times on MovieFone or MovieTickets.com). Thanksgiving - pure yummyness. The day after - shopping madness (expect photos!) The Columbus Gay Men's Chorus concert (hopefully accompanied by a potential), CMC's concerts, Christmas cards, holiday parties, food and drink orgies, presents. It's just totally exciting. And looking into next year, I am already marking up the travel calendar. I need to visit _armageddon (with whom I had a delightful conversation before bed last night). I'd like to go back to NYC in the spring. I'm hoping to make it to Boston in June. Who knows what the summer might hold?

I also am very *cough* accommodating to visitors....haha!

Cuts
Too many times this week, I've checked my friends page after not being at my desk for, oh, an hour or two, and the entire page is full of new posts. I can't keep up. And it bothers me that I'm skimming past close friends and people I really want to read and not commenting on their journals (when they might really need it) because I have to keep going just to stay on top of it. I'm not cutting any friends (LJ drama alert :P), but I am starting to read a smaller list - at least while I'm at work. I have downtime, but not that much.

holidays, friends, work, travel, cmc
