I am totally bored at work this afternoon, so I started some more work on my taxes. So far on my federal return I'm getting $3,245 back ($2,400 of which is already committed to a credit card). But I still have to get the figures together from my trip to Montreal last July. Most of that will end up being deductible, which is nice. And I'll be out of credit card debt well in advance of the 0% APR deadline (June), which is also nice.
Yes, that's a lot of money to be getting back. Yay for homeownership and paying out the ass for interest even on my 6% loan.
I discovered that I drove almost 2,800 miles last for CMC. At 14 cents a mile, that was a $390 deduction that's giving me an extra $100.
