every day is a winding road...

I had my observation day today for my internship. My professor came to see what I've been up to, but he didnt stay too long cuz the kids were obnoxious... This group is definitely more vocal and testing than the younger group was. We have 23 7-9year olds for this week's art camp. To give you an idea of what some of the kids are like, they were asked to draw themselves- Parker drew himself with red horns, red eyes, and a black goatee. Incidentally this is the same child that yesterday on the nature hike asked if he could skewer a frog with a stick. Nice kids. But there are some sweet ones too and many talented artists. I really enjoy this internship and today, Anne (art director) asked me to help design the new children's exhibit for the visitors lodge! So I actually get to design an exhibit! Yay! Art camp is for the next 3 weeks then I'm done with my internship, but I told Anne that I would love to stick around to volunteer with anything art related.

I am so mad about Tealtown being closed though! It made me 20 minutes late today cuz the stupid detour took forever. Now its going to take so much longer to get to the Nature Center every morning. Grrrr.

Well, Lola is misbehaving so I shall update more later. Ciao!
